Seeing the invisible!!!!

Was praying at the chc payer meeting when i felt the Word of the Lord. It comes from 2Cor4:16-18. "Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." This is an amazing verse. It tells wat we as believers, we must focus on. We mustn't jus look at the surface of things, but must look at the inside, that which is not seen. Hence, we mustn't be discourage when things aren't working right. We mustn't lose heart, but must perservere. Outwardly, we maybe dying, and feel like giving up, but we must remember that tis is a temporary affliction, a light one compared to the eternal glory we have in the Lord. We must work on the inward man. We must ensure that it is being renewed in the Lord everyday!!! We must truly fix our eyes on things which have eternal value, these things are usually not seen in the natural, but through the eyes of God, through the eyes of faith. We must live for a vision greater than self. We must live for the Lord and for His purpose, and for His glory!!! These are the things which are not seen, which have an eternal value.

Spiritual warfare!

Had bible study wif Bro.Darren, tink that personal discipleship wif him is realli great and i noe that i will grow to be a better person wif him to guide me and of cus the Holy Spirit. 2Cor 10:3-5 says that "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." As christians, we are not spared from the attacks of the devil. But nonetheless, we have God on our side. The Lord is a fighter and He will fight for us! And we noe that those that are for us are greater than those who are against us. Our God is the Lord of host, ie to say the Lord of armies, thousands upon thousands of angels. Hence, in watever we do, we can believe God for victory! For greater is HE who is in us than he who is in the world!

The greatest warfare takes place in the area of our minds, our thought life. Hence, we must be watchful, we must be vigilant, we must be steadfast. We must make a conscious effort to discipline our mind, emotion and spirit. Hence, we gotta be led by the spirit and be in the spirit. Though our outer man is not waging a war, but our inner man is fighting a war in the spiritual realm. In 2Tim2:4, we also learn that "No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier." And because we are enlisted into God's army, we must be ready for battle, for we are not waiting for the enemy to come, but we are ever ready to make the move, to strike down satan and his evil doers.

Faith of Abel

It makes me wonder why the offering of Abel was accepted but the offering of Cain was rejected. And as i read on, i realised that Abel gave in faith. In sowing, it must always be done in faith. Faith empowers us to give our best to God with a heart of expectancy of reaping. we must understand the law of sowing and reaping that God has created. Moreover, we must trust the character of God that He is a giver and not a taker. He will surely out give us, and will multiply the seed that is sown. The bible says that Abel's offering was a more excellent sacrifice. Hence, it must have cost Abel something if not the bible will not say its a sacrifice. But being more excellent, i guess it speaks of quality more than quantity. The bible say that Abel gave the first born, that is the best to the Lord. From this, we can learn to sow wif the faith that abel had whenever the opportunity arises for us to give.
